The American Feng Shui Institute is excited to announce a special Feng Shui class to take place in Beijing, China!
Please find the official announcement of theBeijing Tour and class here (PDF).
Note: Everything shown below was preliminary. Please use the PDF flyer as the official announcement.
This three day class will look deeply at the Feng Shui of the Forbidden City and Beijing. Today Beijing is the capital of China, one of the powerhouses of the 21st Century. The Forbidden City was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It consists of extensive grounds which cover 720,000 square meters, 800 buildings and more than 8,000 rooms.
After being the home of 24 emperors—fourteen of the Ming Dynasty and ten of the Qing Dynasty—the Forbidden City ceased being the political center of China in 1912 with the abdication of Puyi, the last Emperor of China. Now the Forbidden City is both a museum and a world renowned cultural site for visitors to China.
Along with Master Larry Sang, the Feng Shui history of the Forbidden City will be taught by one of the top scholars on the construction and history of the Forbidden City and Beijing.
Learn how the city was planned, constructed and why it was constructed in the specific location that it occupies. Discover how the ancient Chinese mapped out the city. Find out why it is in this location and the unique features that protect its power.
One day of class will be spent discussing the Forbidden City. Another will be a field trip to tour the site. The third day will be a class on Qi Men Dun Jia, an ancient military technique that uses the eight palaces and the ten stems and is applied to Feng Shui in special circumstances. It will be taught by another high level scholar.
This class requires a working knowledge of the Stems and Branches, so the AFSI class AS101 – Stems and Branches is a prerequisite. Please review the information if you have already taken this class.
If you are interested in attending this class, which is tentatively set for the end of February/Beginning of March 2007, please contact the Institute at 626-571-2757 or at [email protected].

Hi Chris,
Can you give a rough estimate of the total cost for transportation, hotel, food, tuition, etc.? Is the length of stay in China just 3 days?
Thanks.

Hi Chris,
if the trip will be end of February, beginning of March, I am interested!
But of course, I have to know the complete costs. 🙂
Do you think it will be possible to join the crew in Bejing (it makes no sense to come first to US), so I can book a flight directly from Germany? What about the visa regulations then. ❓If you have any further info, please, let me know.
ThanksWarm regards from Germany

I will be in China from 3-18 to 3/25. I am in if they do it then. Maybe you can combine the trip with one of the many chamber sponsored trips they have nowadays to cut some ot the costs.

I have seen the flyer to this trip (looks GREAT!), and the options. Do we just send an email to Mildred/the office to express interest and find out if the trip is a go or not?
Thank you for your time~

Hi Chris,
I just found this topic. Do you think another class here in Beijing will be organized? I am living in Beijing since 2005 and I can give all the support also but most of all I am really interested in this class.
Thanks

Hi,
Master Sang just left yesterday for China.
He has talked about classes there, but the classes he has had have been in Chinese and I have not been involved.
I am not sure about any other upcoming classes. You can email [email protected] and inquire about both the classes and offering assistance.
Best wishes,
