Greetings to you all.
I’ve been spending this evening reading positive stories here, articles at Feng Shui News, checking out consultants’ websites… and I have hope again.
I would like to give some background:
Over a year ago I made a decision to leave my current, stressful teaching job (after ten years teaching in public schools) and began studying Feng Shui. I took the Beginning – Advanced classes, back to back. I began practicing with myself, friends and family as much as I could. Then, unfortunately, I got very ill and was out on medical leave for a year. (Clearly I need a better reading done for myself!) 😀 I returned to my job in March with the same stress, knowing that I had to get out. In April I took the necessary steps and filed paperwork to slowly get out of this job and transition into working as a Feng Shui Consultant. I have officially reduced my hours.Lately my decision has felt less peaceful. It has been a difficult decision to leave because I love teaching children. I began feeling increasingly anxious this week about my decreased income. Nevertheless, after ten years teaching and a year out on medical leave, the decision is crystal clear. So acceptance will return again, I know. And being among the Feng Shui on line world has helped tremendously tonight.
I will be retaking the classes at the Institute this summer and am looking foward to it more than I can say. I am so glad that I spent this time on line tonight, reading all of your stories, reconnecting with a study that I find fascinating, gentle and life-giving.
Tonight has also helped me with the doubts that were beginning to creep in about the reality of succeeding as a Feng Shui consultant. While I know I need/want to practice, learn and study much more, I also know, with much more confidence, that it really is possible. Teaching was a dream for me once. I can remember that at the beginning of training to be a teacher it felt like a “foreign land” to me, much like studying to work as a Feng Shui Consultant feels to me now.
Today, becoming a successful Feng Shui Consultant is a dream for me and I know that I will accomplish that too. Thanks to all of you for your courage to try something new, daring, foreign and for sharing it here… for reminding me of what can be done when you want it enough…
With loving kindness,
Arreis 😀 -

Hi Arreis,
stay connected! It’s worth it. Great bunch of people, wise, fun Master, fantastic teachers and wonderful students. AFSI is such a great institute. And you learn much more then Feng Shui. Everybody is so helpful.
Maybe one day you can combine your two professions, teaching Feng Shui.
Enjoy it!
